Living with someone can be a very difficult situation, especially if you’re the kind of person who enjoys having your own space and privacy. At some point in time, there’s a pretty good chance that everyone will have a roommate of some sort. When living with someone, you’ll probably have to get used to your food coming up missing – even when you labeled it, and you’ll have to put up with someone else’s strange habits. However, while having a roommate certainly does have its shortcomings, it can also be a great (and money-saving) situation. Living with someone can lead to a lifelong friendship, and if it doesn’t, it will at least lead to a great learning experience. Here are 10 pairs of celebrities you had no idea lived together.
Lucy Hale and Ashley Newbrough
Former Privileged co-stars, Lucy Hale and Ashley Newbrough were once roommates while working on the show together. During an interview, Newbrough stated: “I couldn’t have asked for a better twin sister costar, because Lucy is awesome. We actually are roommates now. We get along very well, we go shopping all the time, we do a lot together, so it’s very easy to play twins on camera.” Fortunately, unlike most friends who live together, the two have remained friends.

Justin Long and Jonah Hill seemed like the perfect roommate pair at first. However, in 2009, reports began to surface that Long had moved out of their Los Angeles home because they were starting to act “like an old married couple.” However, Long also stated: “We’re still great friends but it got to be like an old married couple. We fought over recycling. He would recycle everything. I would find banana peels and shards of glass in the recycling bin. We started getting in little fights like that, he left the bathroom door open, didn’t clean up after himself. Little things like that. It was time for a separation.”

Lindsay Lohan and Raven Symone may seem like an unlikely pair of roommates, but the two actually have some things in common. They’re both former child stars, and both found major success working with Disney. After forming a friendship on the set of a photo shoot for Vanity Fair, the pair decided to move in together. However, the two didn’t spend nearly as much time together as you’d imagine. According to Symone: “She paid rent, and she was there probably three times.” Many believe that Symone also took some subliminal shots at her former roommate during an interview with Oprah in 2014 when she stated: “It’s unnecessary to go to the most popular restaurant in the world when you have a scandal on your head and then get mad that someone’s gonna take a picture of you. That’s your fault, Boo-Boo. Stay in the house.”
